Let us discuss each of the characters to help you remind who they are and how do they look like. The iconic looks of these characters are even made into disney loungefly accessories that are quite interesting, especially for their fans.Â
Kamado Tanjiro
Demon Slayer’s main character Tanjiro’s life became a living nightmare when a demon took his family and cast Nezuko into the darkness.
Driven by anger and love for Nezuko, Tanjiro joins the Demon Slayer Corps to battle these demons and hopefully, find a way to bring his younger sister back to humanity.
Kamado Nezuko
Nezuko Kamado is one of the newest characters in Demon Slayer, having just turned 12 when she began the tale and been transformed into an undead.
After several episodes have passed since that fateful day, Nezuko remains physically unchanged – something Tanjiro must discover if he wants any chance at redemption.

Zenitsu
Though Zenitsu Agatsuma may appear younger than Tanjiro, his primary nature tends to be avoidance. While he may not always show it, Zenitsu is far from invincible with weapons due to his training as Jigoro Kuwajima’s student.

Inosuke
Inosuke Hashibira often jumps into battle without hesitation. Though capable of managing his own needs, his tendency to overestimate himself leads him into trouble – especially since he seeks out opponents who could beat him in combat.
This tendency often leads him into trouble during battle, however.

Kanao
Kanao is a stunningly beautiful woman with large pink eyes and curly black hair tied in her ponytail. Unfortunately, Kanao’s upbringing was difficult, leading her to withdraw completely from the world to protect herself.
For many years she showed little emotion or initiative of any sort – preferring instead to leave decisions to fate or others for guidance.

Genya
Genya is an intriguing character with an intriguing backstory. He witnessed his sister and parents being killed by his mother’s demons, as well as seeing Sanemi take the life of their sole remaining brother.
Even though he can’t use breathing techniques as his brothers do, Genya remains a powerful fighter who can absorb the powers of demons.
Sanemi
Wind Hashira is beyond mad and not someone to play with. His unsettling gaze appears to be capable of knocking any adversary to the ground.
One can only wonder how much destruction Hashira will inflict with his attack. Manga fans may already be unaware, but it’s the possibilities offered by this show and its visuals that have made viewers eager to witness Shinazugawa in action.
Giyu Tomioka
Giyu holds his feelings close to himself and doesn’t like to waste others’ words. As a kid, his sister saved him from an evil spirit at the cost of her own life; however, when Giyu attempted to educate others about what had occurred as a youngster, he was met with rejection.
Giyu, a senior member of The Demon Slayer Corps, projects an air of assurance despite not necessarily feeling that way.
Shinobu
Shinobu appears to be the friendliest and most popular person in the Demon Slayer Corps. She always smiles and is willing to join in on a joke, but this is only an escape mechanism for controlling her intense hatred of evil spirits caused by the loss of her sister Kanae Kocho.

Tengen Uzui
Tengen’s story has a refreshing twist; there is no demon connection whatsoever, yet it is extremely tragic. Raised as a child of a ninja clan and taught to become one by his difficult father, Tengen believed in pursuing self-fulfillment even at the cost of others.
After being coerced into killing some of his siblings to further pursue it, Tengen eventually left home to forge his path.
Mitsuri
The Love Hashira is one of the most intriguing characters on the show. Although her appearance was brief, the impact she will leave will likely be immense.
Fans of anime are eager to witness her abilities during battle, which promise to be a visually stunning sight. The concept of Love Breathing itself – if that can be described that way – is unlike anything previously seen in the series.
Obanai Iguro
Obanai Iguro is known as The Serpent Hashira and this already gives away his powerful nature. Little is known about him other than what his appearance suggests – however, his mysterious aura leaves no doubt about who he truly is.
His powers have yet to be revealed, but the concept of Serpent Breathing sounds exciting. We’ll have to wait and see how his character evolves.
Muichiro Tokito
Hashira Muichiro Tokito often shows little emotion when in public and may appear cold or uncaring. Many times, Muichiro just disappears for himself, seemingly lost in his thoughts.
Though Muichiro may not be the most relatable character, his backstory provides insight into the formation of his personality. It all stems from a personal loss that left him without memory or context to effectively define and manage his anger.
Gyomei Himejima
The Demon Slayer anime has yet to fully develop Gyomei Himejima (Stone Hashira) beyond a background character role. He wasn’t even featured in the first season of Demon Slayer which focused on the “Entertainment District arc.”
With closer proximity to the “Hashira training arc” coming up in the upcoming seasons (or following ones), Gyomei’s significance will likely increase significantly.
Kyojuro Rengoku
Kyojuro Rengoku took center stage in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Film: Mugen Train, taking center stage like a ball of flame. Charming, enthusiastic, and charming, Kyojuro had a sincerity that others in the show lacked (except Tanjiro).
Kyojuro’s optimism does not serve as an attempt to mask his internal turmoil or fool people into false feelings of security. Instead, Kyojuro strives to find positives in even the most trying circumstances.

Aoi Kanzaki
Everyone has a role to play, even those far away from the frontline. After her family members died due to monsters, Aoi Kanzaki made her way toward The Demon Slayer Corps and passed their Final Selection test.
Though qualified for combat duty, she prefers not to engage in physical activity so she’s taken up residence at The Butterfly Mansion where she tends to wounded fighters.
Tamayo
Tamayo, introduced in the Asakusa Arc, is a minor but significant character. A demon who also practices medicine. Tamayo can be found in both realms and uses her abilities for self-preservation and helping others.
By existing outside Muzan’s control, Tamayo proves that demons can have an optimistic outlook on life; she even helps Tanjiro fulfill his dream of turning Nezuko back into human form.
Rui
Rui is unpleasant in many different ways, making him Tanjiro’s most dangerous foe in Demon Slayer’s first season. The Lower Rank demon is extremely violent and unforgiving, yet maintains a typically civilized demeanor.
This attitude results from his transition into a demon, which caused him to be abandoned by his human parents. The villain has attempted to replace the family he lost ever since by building a new, “loving” one.

Kagaya Ubuyashiki
Although he doesn’t appear as frequently in the animation, Kagaya is an influential figure within Demon Slayer’s universe. As head of Demon Slayer Corps, his words carry great weight when it comes to leading the organization.
Kagaya must take some form of role due to a curse from his family which manifests as an illness, but he can also advocate for reason in certain situations.
Muzan Kibutsuzi
Muzan, the antagonist from Demon Slayer, is one of the most captivating characters in the series. Although he may not have been featured multiple times throughout, Muzan’s brutal methods in killing off some of his most powerful agents are truly frightening to witness.
Muzan’s power seems overwhelming, and Tanjiro and the other Demon Slayers might not stand a chance against her. Yet there is still time for characters to grow stronger and engage in a fierce battle, even if just for fun. There will always be someone willing to fight no matter what it takes!
Akaza
The Demon of the Third Rank, introduced as a character in Demon Slayer: Mugen Train, left an unforgettable impression. His battle with Rengoku culminated in Flame Hashira’s untimely demise.
Akaza is not someone to mess around with; she will likely play an integral role in the unfolding events. Unfortunately, only manga enthusiasts know how things will pan out – anime fans must wait patiently for updates.

Doma
Demon Slayer concluded the thrilling anime adaptation of the Entertainment District Arc by introducing Doma the Twelve Kizuki’s upper Rank Two demon, Doma.
His seemingly innocent appearance is nothing more than a mask that can be removed when needed.
While completely cold-hearted, Doma maintains an upbeat attitude throughout all situations. He believes humans to be weaker beings who deserve sympathy and salvation at his hands (usually death).
